I really like the romantic and sensuous nature of this painting. Too many times Dark Elves are portrayed as evil, vicious, mean and ugly. This artwork portrays a much different side of a Dark Elf. The cream colors against the faint rose colors with the dark browns are quite vibrant, elegant and the clothing folds are excellent. The color harmony is breathtaking.

Drow with Cherry Trees by Sue Evans Ross
This Drow is not a gothic portrait and would be a perfect gift for a fantasy art collector. It would be suitable for any age, but gamers would be my first recommendation or fantasy readers for my second. This Fine Art Print would look great in any room but if you are decorating your game room with fantasy art, this would be a wonderful focal point - it would work well with any color scheme, not just creams, browns or roses.
Fractal Art is the epitome of optical illusions in my opinion. Anyone with a fractal program can create some basic fractal art graphics yes, but it takes a master to take this art form to it’s zenith and mimic reality while creating truly breathtaking art.
Joan Kerrigan is one of those masters. Many of the images in this particular gallery appear to be flower portraits though not all by any means. She is not using just a random generator program that spits out an image based on a bit of this n that such as many like me that are interested in graphics have played with a time or two to ooh and ah over making a fractal and then we moved on to something else.
Joan is using a program that needs a lot of user input to create these gorgeous images. It takes a skilled artisan to use it and to give us such beauty to adorn our walls and it takes time to learn the program to make it sing with majesty to create the wonderful images she is sharing with us.
Her Emerald City Sinks and Valentine Heart for example are completely different in color, balance and ambiance … Valentine Heart truly does feel quite Victorian and similar to a rose garden while Emerald City is very modular and modernistic … yet both are refreshing to the spirit and soul for different reasons.
I find Emerald City to be a glorious bold statement of architecture perfectly suited to it’s environment and encouraging technological wonders. I would never have even thought it was sinking if it was not part of the title - it looks rock solid and stable to me! Valentine Heart is soothing and romantic to encourage communication and harmony with nature and each other.
I hope you enjoy her fractals as much as I do! She has at least one if not several that would be perfect for anyone and everyone and they would fit in with the most modern interior designer’s visions or with a Victorian Era home decorated with a master craftsman furniture collection.
