The expression in the eyes of this dark Elf are enough to make me back off and think about re-grouping instead of going forward.
Sara has an excellent way with armor as well as everything else in her paintings … but her armor is very realistic, intricate yet subdued into being support that we expect to see without it taking over the picture.
Great job! This Dark Elf would be a perfect gift for any fantasy art collector.
I love the colors in this portrait … the green and it being Fae also speaks of St Patrick’s Day and Ireland to me … Happy St Patrick’s Day! This would be lovely to create a focal point of Elves or Faeries for a game room … you could create your own woodland scene with paintings, wall murals and carefully chosen furniture accents. This Princess is quite regal yet very approachable and she appears quite introspective … perhaps pensive as well. She would be a marvelous gift for a Faery collector if you need a birthday or anniversary gift.
