High Heels - Women’s Shoes!
Journey Dateline: July 22, 2007
Are you wondering what shoes have to do with Fantasy Art Gifts?
Shoes - if they are high heels - are a work of art - to see or be seen in - to walk in - ask anyone who has ever worn a pair of high heels even once, let alone anyone who has lusted after someone seen wearing a pair of high heel shoes
I LOVE high heels - when I was young - I had lots of 5 inch stiletto high heel shoes - I could even run wearing them if I needed to do so to catch the bus on my way to work. I don’t wear 5 inch high heels now - too many years wearing flats and/or tennie runners I guess … and I’ve gotten older … and I do not have anyone interested in seeing me in high heels in my life right now either
so that is one less expense … but that does not mean that I do not notice every pair I see on another woman - some I like and some I do not like … some I even still consider buying for myself BECAUSE I still love high heel shoes - they are a fantasy & a luxury in life I didn’t even realize they were until I quit buying and wearing them.
At work, there is a lovely young lady who wears 5 inch stiletto high heels (or maybe some of them are even 6 inch stiletto high heels) every day to work. She is very young … she also happens to be quite tall though I hadn’t really noticed it until one of our co-workers mentioned it to me the other day - everyone wearing high heels is tall to me … she has a lot of high heels - all really pretty & cute - she looks great in them and she carries herself with pride and self-confidence - I tease her that she must have at least 200 to 500 pairs of high heels.
I only have 2 pairs of high heels in my closet these days - 2.5″ white sandal pumps & 2.5″ black sandal pumps. It has been ages since I wore either of them - the last time was for job hunting
over a year and a half ago. But I love to look at shoes and as a woman who loves high heels will do - fantasize about buying & wearing gorgeous high heels I find online while either window browsing or actual shopping.
One of my very favorite pairs of shoes when I was young were only 4 inch sandal high heels though - they had wooden soles - tiny little criss crossed white straps with gold beading & glitter ribbon woven on them - I could wear them with anything and everything and they were very comfy - at the time. They were the daintiest and most feminine shoes I’ve ever had - I wore them out wearing them so much!
Today’s featured art from ImageKind is French High Heel by Pat Cockrell
Any lover of high heels will probably appreciate high heel shoe art as a gift - this lovely Fine Art Print with the glorious red focus would be great in any room of the house but I especially like the idea of hanging it in a bedroom - it would look great in a room with red satin accessories / accents - curtains, bedspread or comforter in particular.
